Treat yourself to a slower pace in a romantic farmyard setting
in the Orcia valley
UNESCO Heritage Site
When thinking of the Val d'Orcia region the mind is immediately projected into a series of evocative images: the almost lunar landscape of the badlands, the villages perched on the hills, and the surreal calm will connect you with the surrounding landscape. The Macchione holiday farm is located exactly in an old farmhouse nearby one of the touchstone of Renaissance urbanism, Pienza.
If reaching the estate, framed by a stunning landscape, is a pleasure for the senses; stay there means rediscovering the charm of a holiday surrounded by nature with such an amazing view that contributes to the uniqueness of what has recently been recognized as a World Heritage Site. The rural estate, hosting the holiday farm, blends perfectly the Fregoli’s farm complex.
History
Dating back to the beginning of the 18th century, the farm complex has been masterfully restored with the utmost respect for the original design, fusing past fascination and rustic elegance, but also paying close attention to every detail.
The holiday farm includes four independent housing units: il Forno (the Oven), la Corte (the Courtyard), la Capriata (the Truss) and la Torre (the Tower). Each apartment features a private entrance and a corner of paradise to gaze at (Pienza, amid the countryside of the Orcia Valley). The tourist accommodation is completed by a common living room and a brand new outdoor swimming pool.
As mentioned above, the entire farm is part of the Fregoli’s estate, a company boasting a centuries-old tradition in the production of top-quality extra virgin olive oil.
